Gerhard Endress, born in 1939 in Sackingen, Germany, started training as a watchmaker at the age of 14 and became a master at his craft. In 2014 he suffered a massive stroke and lost the functional use of his left arm. Life as he kew it completely changed. Hard work, physical therapy, patience, perseverance and renewed faith eventually set him on a new path. Never having held a paintbrush, palette knife or stick of charcoal, he enrolled in an art class and was soon producing inspired works of arts and crafts, developing a unique style coined "primitive" yet with perceptive depth and interpretation. His art brought fresh insights and released created expression, giving Gerhard new purpose and joy in living. His mission is for other to enjoy his creations and be inspired to never give up.
